An exchange semester is an unforgettable experience, and this page is meant to help you prepare in a way that will make it a smooth experience as well. You yourself are responsible for making sure to submit all applications on time and make necessary arrangement for your semester abroad. Your coordinator can assist you when needed.

To Do

Apply for courses at Stockholm University as a backup if your exchange studies are canceled for any reason - April 15 / October 15 deadlines
Apply to partner university (instructions from partner U)
Apply for housing at partner university (instructions from partner U)
Apply for Erasmus or Nordplus grant (Nordplus - ask Coordinator)
1. English Erasmus+ instructions
2. Swedish Erasmus+ instructions
Complete online language test (Erasmus+ only, link via e-mail)
Complete Learning Agreement (to be sent to you via e-mail - what is this?)
Order EHIC card
Give account details for Erasmus/Nordplus (Erasmus+ instructions here, Nordplus - ask Coordinator)
Check/renew passport and id-card (must be valid at least 6 months after last day of your exchange)
AFTER Letter of Acceptance received - send to exchange@ims.su.se and upload to Erasmus+ grant application
AFTER Letter of Acceptance Received - Buy tickets in time for for arrival to Orientation Week
Pay housing deposit (if housing received)
Sublet your own room/apartment? Post in our FB Forum
Apply for CSN as usual (Swedish residents only)
Pick up insurance card at IMS (International Coordinator’s Office)
Complement your insurance coverage if necessary - read about your STUDENT UT insurance here
Check registration status at https://minastudier.su.se (1 week before departure)

Apply to courses for next semester at SU. April 15 / October 15 deadlines.
Adjust Learning Agreement (LA) if necessary. Only courses listed in LA will be transferred.
During last week of stay - Request Confirmation of Stay and send to erasmusutbyte@su.se (download here - bottom of page)
During last week of stay - request 2 copies of your transcript to be sent to:
