Study finds new evidence of 5 more Allied gift shops in Italy

Historians know that the Allied forces ran gift shops exclusively for foreign military personnel in different European cities during World War II. But a new study by Dr. Chiara Faggella, Stockholm University, reveals that there were another 5 Allied gift shops in Italy, run by a civilian; the businessmann and commissionaire Giovanni Battista Giorgini.

Researcher: No toilets for women in Indian public service broadcaster

Last year IAWRT, an international association for women working in the media sector, finalized a 4-year gender equality project that was conducted in India, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa. In a new handbook on gender equality in media, Greta Gober, Stockholm University, describes the IAWRT members' experiences of the project.

Professor: Right-wing populism wants to create moral panic

"First the right-wing populists find a problem, they inflate it, and finally they offer a solution. They want to create moral panic in society, and it is in their interest to sustain the problem," professor Michal Krzyzanowski, University of Liverpool/Örebro University, told the IMS website during his visit in Stockholm this week.
